The B-17 “City Of Savannah” from the National Museum Of The Mighty Eighth Air Force Back
Since 2009 a volunteer crew of historical aircraft enthusiasts has invested more than 60,000 hours in returning the City of Savannah to its 1945 combat configuration.
Today, this Flying Fortress is the finest example of a restored B-17G.
Experience this restored marvel as you gain greater understanding and appreciation of the teenagers and young men of the Eighth who achieved air supremacy in the skies over occupied Europe. This aircraft is named the City of Savannah in honor of the original ship.
